We Care, Do You?
It’s a sad fact that there are hundreds of homeless men and women sleeping rough on the streets of Lancashire, the majority of whom suffer with some degree of mental health or substance misuse issue. Often at a time in their lives when they are the most vulnerable and in need, these people are alone, rejected by society and left to suffer in silence. This should not be the case, and here at Lancashire Care, we’d like to show the homeless in our area that we do care, and that help is available.
With Christmas fast approaching we’re planning to work in collaboration with our homeless team and other voluntary organisations to provide shoeboxes filled with essentials to the homeless, with information about our services and how they can be accessed. We realise that this is a huge task and we can’t do it alone which is why we’re calling on you, our members, for support.
