Our mission is: 'To improve the lives of the people we serve and ensure that mental health matters across the whole community.
The trust will achieve this by working towards four goals:
- To deliver high quality, person centered, compassionate services for mental health
- To maintain the highest standards of clinical, corporate and financial governance
- To safeguard the welfare and promote the well being of patients and staff
- To maintain and enhance the reputation of the organisation
In recent years the trust has been working to achieving the following:
• Replacing existing wards with new, purpose built premises from which
effective and efficient inpatient services can be delivered
• Establishing robust community services to reduce the need for hospital admission
• Building a network of community facilities across all localities
• Securing responsibility for the provision of specialist children’s mental health services across Lancashire, and developing a full all-age service
• Developing integrated approaches to secure care pathways, so as to maintain and
develop the trust’s specialist role
• Being a benchmark organisation in efficiency and quality
• Improving access to psychological therapies
• Strengthening the quality and cost-efficiency of substance misuse services to secure the trust’s role in this speciality
• Continuing the development of public involvement
