Lorena Dumitrache

Lorena is qualified Psychologist, MA in International Migration and MSc in Clinical Sexology, Member of British Psychological Society and APA (American Psychological Society) and HCPC registered.

During her experience as an intercultural mediator she was able to deliver workshops and educational programmes for populations with special needs in different countries and from a multi –cultural approach - in several languages such as English, Spanish, French, and Romanian.

She worked as a Clinical Psychologist and she has also collaborated in other fellow studies in Spain, In Switzerland she worked for the Foundation "Coup de Pouce" where she offered emotional support and delivered training workshops and activities for people with severe psychological disorders.

Lorena has also participated in a couple of Events organized by the NHS England such as: "Time to talk time to Listen", NHS Voice England- event where the patients and service users of the NHS and the NHS Staff were brought together in order to find solutions for better services, the Gender Identity Meeting and Workshops( service users and professional), the Specialised Commissioning Consultation meeting, Rehabilitation Living my life ( Transition is everyone business, Rehabilitation in Mind -psychological as well as physical support), the Health and care Innovation Expo, all the events being organized by the Voice -SCGD England NHS). As she acknowledged "It was a very useful and relevant experience to share opinions, to listen to the people and their opinion face to face and try to find solutions that best suits both professionals and patients."

Lorena has also been a volunteer for the NHS Foundation, Mental Health Services for 2 years, therefore she is familiarised with the NHS ethos, mission and vision, that´s why she took on board this opportunity to collaborate with other professional in order to improve people´s perceptions and participation in their own health."
