I have been a Public Governor representing East Lancashire since January 2013, I am retired having spent over 30 years working in this Health Service mainly in the field of Mental Health as an Registered Mental Nurse.  I was also a Registered General Nurse.

I was Director of Mental Health Nursing Services when I retired and still undertake duties as a 'hospital manager' as it relates to the Mental Health Act. I was appointed a Magistrate in 2004 and I am a local town councillor for Padiham where I live with my wife Linda. I am a member of the Rotary Club of Padiham and undertake work for Burnley Borough Council on their Standards Committees.

I am committed to my role of Public Governor and am presently the Chair of Standards and Assurance Committee. I believe my past and present experience help me to make a positive contribution to the organisation.
