Lancashire Care values all of its public members but recognises that some members want to be involved with the Trust more regularly than others. Gold members can expect to be invited to engagement events designed specifically for them and to be contacted by the public governor for their area to keep them up to date with what’s happening at the Trust. Gold membership is particularly valuable for members who think that they would like to stand for election as a public governor or for members who have been a public governor in the past and who would like to maintain their links with Lancashire Care.
Privacy Notice for Lancashire Care’s Membership Scheme
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was introduced in May 2018 to harmonise existing data protection legislation across the European Union and strengthen data protection rights for individuals. In particular, the introduction of GDPR updated protection for individuals about how personal data is generated, manipulated and used.
Under GDPR, organisations like Lancashire Care have a responsibility for demonstrating that they have a valid lawful basis for processing personal data.
Our privacy notice sets out Lancashire Care’s lawful basis for processing membership data as well as the purposes of the processing. The notice also tells you how you can stop being a member of the Trust, the circumstances in which we will share membership data with an organisation outside of Lancashire Care and who to contact if you would like further information.
The Trust also wants to engage with its partner organisations, patients and the people who use our services to enable closer working across Lancashire; we want to ensure that our services are developed in a way that reflects the needs of people and takes account of their experience. In light of this an Affiliate Membership scheme has been launched and partner organisations are warmly invited to register.
Becoming an Affiliate Member is easy just follow this link for more information and to register your organisation. Please include your email address as the Trust will need this information to contact you.
