Mental Health Taskforce
In March 2015, NHS England announced a new Mental Health Taskforce which will develop a five year national strategy for Mental Health, covering all ages. The strategy will align to the Five Year Forward View, and will be informed by a wide range of lived experience and professional expertise.
The taskforce held its first meeting on 27 April 2015.
Mind and Rethink Mental Illness are gathering the views and ideas of a wide range of people, including people with mental health problems, families, professionals and wider stakeholders via the survey www.surveymonkey.com/s/mh2020 and the toolkit to guide discussion, which organisations, groups and individual can use. Any content or feedback needs to be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. The taskforce have started to look at the priority outcomes for action over the next 5 years and will take an all age approach and seek to tackle inequalities.
