Stop Smoking Services - Quit Squad
Stop Smoking Service - Quit Squad
You are 4 times more likely to quit for good if you use specialist stop smoking support and treatment. The stop smoking service has specially trained advisors who are friendly, approachable and will not judge you.
We provide 12 weeks of support and advice to help people to stop smoking. We can offer information on coping with triggers, habits and stress; one thing many people worry about when stopping smoking is weight gain, we can provide advice on how to avoid this. If weight gain is a problem we can advise how to access weight management.
We can help people choose between the different products available on prescription to aid quitting and provide access to treatment with Nicotine Replacement Vouchers or we can ask your doctor to prescribe Champix or Zyban. Treatments are free if you do not pay for prescriptions.
How to access the service
You do not need a referral into the service - you simply refer yourself, just contact us.
We do also accept referrals from GP practices, practice nurses, other health professionals and hospitals. Forms are available on request.
Where the service is provided
The main way people access our service is the Stop Smoking Clinics which are held across East and Central Lancashire. Please click here for details of your nearest Drop-in clinic or you can ring the numbers at the bottom of this page.

We work in partnership with local Pharmacies, Leisure, and GP Practices. Clinics are available weekdays, evenings and weekends. All our clients are seen individually either in an appointment clinic or at a drop in clinic. We are a friendly supportive service and research shows that you are 4 x more likely to stop smoking with our help and support than going it alone.
We also provide support in workplaces, prisons, hospitals, during pregnancy and for people with language barriers.
