    Fylde Coast Governors

    Lesley Davison

    First Term

    01/02/2019 - 31/12/2022

Lesley was born and educated in St Annes, and has always lived on the Fylde Coast.  Her career to date has been property focused, starting in Estate Agency then running her own Lettings and Property Management company from 2002 to 2016.

Lesleys experience of mental health services began as a teenager when a family member required inpatient treatment over a period of years and never regained mental wellbeing.  Lesley has witnessed first hand the impact of severely compromised mental health, together with the effect on family, friends, and care practitioners.

Lesleys particular areas of interest are early intervention for children and young adults including coping skills development, and crisis care, centered on working towards a more recovery focused approach to mental ill health where a return to mental wellbeing is the expectation, delivering hope and comfort to those who suffer in silence or otherwise, with the overall aim being an efficient system, both in terms of cost and delivery, that is a flagship for mental health and a rewarding and positive workplace.

Lesley currently takes part in the Experts by Experience programme.
