    Dr Debbie Wisby is a registered nurse and midwife and has worked in academia since 1998. She is the College Director for Business Development and Lead Midwife for Education in the College of Health & Wellbeing at the University of Central Lancashire. Her clinical experience ranges from working in Accident and Emergency, General Practice Nursing, Midwifery and Sexual Health. Debbie is currently Chair of the Royal College of Nurses Midwifery Forum, is a Nursing and Midwifery Council Reviewer and a member of the Royal College of Midwives. Her research interests focus upon narrative enquiry, professional identity and role change following the completion of her Doctorate in Education in 2014.

    Teresa has been a nominated Governor since January 2016. She has had over 18 years’ experience of leading services that support vulnerable adults and young people alike. Teresa started her career in the public sector working within Local and Central Government, but has spent the majority of her career working in the Third Sector. She is currently the Chief Executive of a Charity called NCompass Northwest which delivers health and social care services including advocacy, counselling, health and wellbeing and carers services. Teresa is also the Vice Chairman of Ribble Valley Housing (a subsidiary of Symphony Housing) one of the largest housing providers in the North West. She is also passionate about the tangible impacts that charities achieve in making a real and lasting difference to the lives of vulnerable people. Teresa has been lucky enough to witness this in abundance over the years and this is something that motivates and drives her to continue making a difference every day.
