    Interested in writing poetry and fiction in Urdu language

    One thing I’m most proud of in work
    The one thing I am most proud of is watching a various doctors grow and develop whilst with us on placement. This has a positive impact on the team and on patient care.

    The best things about LCFT / your job
    My job has a variety of psychiatric disorders including chronic and enduring mental illness with difficult to engage patients.
    Presentation of psychiatric condition at various levels i.e acute, highly unstable or stable in recovery phase.
    The case load has a high prevalence of concomitant drug and alcohol problems.

    What can trainees get out of this post?
    1) The post is suitable for GP Trainees and ST5-6 in Psychiatry.
    2) ST’s can find this placement useful to meet their ILO’s by working with highly complex psychiatric conditions to assess and manage acute and stable conditions. Good supervision for Non-clinical ILO’s and support to meet research and leadership competencies.
    3) ST’s can further their special interest in addictions and dual diagnoses.
    4) SAS doctors needing support to meet their goals to obtain CESR will be very well suited in this post.

    Interested in doing study on how psychotic patients progress post-depot antipsychotic injection.
    Also interested in doing study on relation between low BMI and capacity to decide own treatment.

    Reading/ analysing books, papers and studies on History, Politics, Strategy and law.

    Helping/ witnessing my own junior doctors passing membership exam of the college!

    What can trainees get out of this post?
    Will have a chance to involve/ participate in treating resistant cases of psychosis/ bipolar mania/ bipolar depression/ unipolar depression in the background of special interest (Psycho-pharmacology).
    Will have a chance to see/ observe eating disorder cases.
    Will get understanding of multidisciplinary team working in difficulty circumstance.
    Will know how to manage with bed crisis.
