Posted on the 4th December 2014

Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse or a student nurse due to register in September 2014? Do you want the opportunity to work in a state of the art mental health inpatient unit? If so, The Harbour needs you!

Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust is now recruiting for full and part time Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurses. The role will involve working on a rotational basis across all the suites at The Harbour which include Dementia, Psychiatric Intensive Care, Advanced Care and Functional Care. The Harbour will provide a total of 154 beds and is due to become operational in Spring 2015. The development is part of the Trust’s on-going commitment to modernised inpatient mental health services and improving the quality of care it delivers. The new unit will achieve a more therapeutic environment for the people who use the service and better working conditions for staff.

Craig Barratt, Executive Director of Strategy and Transformation at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust said:

“The Harbour is a state of the art design for inpatient mental health accommodation. This has come after several years of focused work by clinicians, service users and carers to create their ideal environment for providing and receiving care. We are now looking for applicants who have a real person-centred approach to their work and will constantly strive to make an experience at The Harbour a positive one for service users, their carers and visitors. The Trust is dedicated to helping employees achieve their very best and offer a wide range of opportunities for personal development, as well as encouraging workplace health and access to a range of benefits.

“We are now looking for talented people to join us on this exciting new venture which will provide the people of Lancashire the latest in healthcare facilities and the very best in mental health care.”
