Posted on the 26th September 2016

Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust has opened a new Contraception and Sexual Health Clinic (CaSH) for people under the age of 25 in the Fleetwood area.

The clinic is open to people aged up to 25 to see health experts who provide comprehensive  contraceptive services and  testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infection including HIV  in a single appointment.

The clinic operates at Mountcroft Resource Centre, Albert St, Fleetwood, FY7 6AH and is currently open on Monday mornings from 9.30am to 12.30pm with more sessions across the week to be announced soon.

Sue Capstick, service line manager for sexual health at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Young people under the age of 25 in the Fleetwood area can now access our services at Mountcroft Resource Centre. We’re delighted to be able to provide this service which means young people can access excellent, high quality sexual health care. Young people in Fleetwood can now be confident that they are able to access appropriate care and make choices that are right for them.”

Earlier this year, the Trust’s CaSH service was awarded the Lancashire LGBT Quality Mark, a quality assurance programme for service providers, assisting in measuring how well the needs of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender service users, volunteers and staff are met.
