Your chance to represent the views of North Lancashire and South Cumbria!

Posted on the 27th November 2017

Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking for two new people to a part of their Council of Governors that represent residents living in North Lancashire and South Cumbria by giving advice and support, and influencing decision making. This year sees some exciting changes to the structure of the Council of Governors including revised public constituencies to reflect the new Local Delivery Partnership (LDP) areas.

We are looking for two new governors to be the point of contact for public members in their constituency and to act as the voice for their local area. The governors will play an important role in making sure that their views are fed back to Directors and Managers. We would also be pleased to hear from service users, carers, members of the public or other stakeholders who you think might be interested in putting their name forward for one of the public governor vacancies. The closing date for nominations is 22 December 2017.

To be eligible to stand for election you should be 16 or over, live in one of the constituencies and be a registered Foundation Trust member. If you are interested in standing for election yourself or would like to recommend a colleague, please email Tony Slater at Lancashire Care’s election partner Mi-Voice, lancashirecare@mi-voice.com for the full details and a link to the online nomination form.

If you would like to have a chat about what the role involves please contact David Keddie, Stakeholder Engagement Manager by email david.keddie@lancashirecare.nhs.uk or by phone on 07534 605214. For more information please visit www.lancashirecare.nhs.uk/governor-election-2017
