Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust has appointed a new Director of Operations following a rigorous selection process.
Joanne Moore has been appointed as the substantive Director of Operations having already been fulfilling the role on a secondment basis whilst the external recruitment process was underway. Joanne brings with her a wealth of experience, having worked in both financial and operational roles for the last 16 years. Joanne’s priorities over the coming months will be around putting sustainable systems in place to manage the increasing pressures in mental health services and also ensuring that the Trust is in a strong position ready for the next Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.
Joanne Moore, newly appointed Director of Operations at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust said:
“I am delighted to have been appointed as Director of Operations and look forward to continuing to make improvements and working closely with our teams and the people who use our services. I have really enjoyed fulfilling the role in the interim and feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to see through the work we have started together.”
Executive Directors are appointed by the Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) of the Trust’s Board. The NEDs have led on the process for recruiting to the newly established Director of Operations post. This involved a national advertisement, longlisting and shortlisting process and formal interview panel made up of Board members, an independent external assessor and a patient representative.
