The Recruitment Process
Lancashire Care Foundation want to make sure your recruitment experience goes as smoothly and successfully as possible. This information will help guide you through the process.
All applications are submitted through NHS jobs. Once the advert is closed, the Employment Services Team will send the shortlisting to the recruiting managers within 2 working days. If sufficient applications are received the advert may close earlier than the closing date, so please submit your application at the earliest opportunity.
Once shortlisting is complete the recruiting manager will notify the Employment Services Team, with details of the interview arrangements. The Employment Services Team will arrange for the invites to be sent our electronically via NHS Jobs. When you received your interview invite via the email address on your NHS application, you will be able to select the next available slot and confirm your attendance.
If you have not heard back within 2weeks of the closing date then your application may not have been shortlisted.
What will happen at the interview/ assessment?
This depends on the job you have been shortlisted for. Details of how the day will run will be included in the information we send you prior to attending. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the Recruitment Officer who is handling your application, you will need to provide details of the vacancy reference number.
After the interview
All applicants will be contacted by the recruiting manager to be informed of the interview outcome.
If you have been successful then the Employment Services team will issue you with a conditional offer letter, once approval has been received. Your offer letter will detail the next steps to carry out your pre-employment checks.
We cannot agree a starting date with you until all your pre-employment checks are complete. If you are currently in work, please do not hand in your notice until you have an agreed starting date.
Once all pre-employment checks are complete, the recruiting manager will contact the successful candidate to agree a start date, they will then notify the EST Admin lead, who will issue an unconditional letter with details of the agreed start date. The EST Admin lead will also book the candidate on to the next available Trust Induction and email confirmation to those involved.
The Particulars of Employment will be issued to the candidate within 8 weeks of their start date.
The recruiting manager will request an ID badge and set up of the IT access as appropriate.
The panel will advise you at interview about how and when they'll let you know the outcome. You should receive a phone call advising of the outcome within the agreed times.
